Our Mission
We Are American’s Mission
Building Permanent Civic Infrastructure Across Virginia
ABOUT WE ARE AMERICANS ACTION
We Are Americans Action is a Virginia-based civic infrastructure organization operated as a 501(c)(4) social welfare entity. We are focused on strengthening long-term civic engagement, public education, and community participation across the Commonwealth.
Our mission is to move beyond short-term, election-cycle activity and build the systems that allow communities to stay informed, connected, and civically engaged year-round.
OUR MISSION
We Are Americans Action advances and defends freedom, constitutional governance, civic virtue, and strong families through civic engagement, public policy education, and lawful advocacy consistent with America’s founding principles.
We exist to promote the common good and general welfare by strengthening civic knowledge, encouraging informed participation, and supporting long-term community capacity.
The Importance of
WHAT WE DO
We operate through a six-pillar model designed to build permanent civic infrastructure across Virginia:
1. Understanding Rights and Responsibilities
You cannot protect what you do not understand. Millions of Americans do not know the basic structure of their own government. A 2024 study found that more than seven in ten Americans failed a simple quiz on the three branches of federal government. That is not ignorance that is a gap in education.
2. Promoting Active Participation
A democracy that runs without its citizens is not really a democracy. Yet two-thirds of Americans report they rarely or never received meaningful civics instruction growing up. The result? People who feel disconnected, unheard, and unsure where to even begin.
3. Building Social Cohesion and Unity
One of the biggest threats to American democracy today is not a foreign power it is division at home. When people stop seeing each other as fellow citizens and start seeing only opponents, the foundations of a shared nation begin to crack.

4. Preserving Democratic Institutions
The Constitution has lasted more than 230 years. Not because it is perfect, but because generations of Americans understood it, defended it, and passed that knowledge on. That chain cannot break.
OUR APPROACH
We believe strong civic life is built through consistency, trust, and education—not short-term engagement cycles.
Our approach is:
- Community-first
- Relationship-driven
- Education-focused
- Long-term in design
- Grounded in constitutional principles and civic responsibility
We focus on ensuring individuals are not only informed about how government works, but also equipped to participate meaningfully in civic life.
WHY IT MATTERS
When civic infrastructure is weak, communities become disconnected from the decisions that shape their daily lives.
When it is strong, individuals are better equipped to understand issues, participate in civic processes, and contribute meaningfully to the direction of their communities and state.
We Are Americans Action is building that foundation.
We envision a Virginia where civic participation is continuous—not seasonal.
A state where communities are informed, connected, and confident in engaging with public life.
A civic environment where trust is built locally, understanding is shared broadly, and participation is sustained over time.
